Financial support

We offer the following types of financial support:

  • Financial assistance for immediate needs. Up to $5,000 to help pay for things you need urgently to be safe and healthy because of the violent crime.
    • The Immediate Needs Support Package (INSP). For victims of domestic violence only. The package is intended to help pay for things you need urgently to be safe and healthy because of the violent crime.
    • Forensic cleaning. For family victims and service providers to pay for crime scene clean up for a homicide that occurred in NSW.
  • Financial assistance for economic loss. Up to $30,000 to help pay for loss of earnings and other costs that assist you with your recovery.
  • Funeral expenses. Up to $9,500 to cover the cost of arranging a funeral on behalf of a family member of a homicide victim.
