Financial support

We offer the following types of financial support:

  • Financial assistance for immediate needs – up to $5,000 to help pay for things you need urgently to be safe and healthy because of the violent crime.
    • The Immediate Needs Support Package (INSP) –for victims of domestic violence only - it is intended to help pay for things you need urgently to be safe and healthy because of the violent crime.
    • Forensic cleaning – for family victims and service providers to pay for crime scene clean up for a homicide that occurred in NSW.
  • Financial assistance for economic loss – up to $30,000 to help pay for loss of earnings and other costs that assist you with your recovery.
  • Funeral expenses – up to $9,500 to cover the cost of arranging a funeral on behalf of a family member of a homicide victim.
