Victims Services supports the delivery of group counselling programs for victims of crime and their families that are client centred, trauma informed, and that assist victims with their recovery process.
Group Counselling programs can be an important step for victims in their recovery. They can allow victims to normalise and share their experience, learn from others in a similar situation, and have access to information that will assist in their recovery and healing process. Group counselling reduces the isolation often experienced by survivors and compliments individual therapy.
