What happens after I lodge my request for an Internal Review

After the request has been lodged, Victims Services will acknowledge your review lodgement and provide you with a lodged copy of the Internal Review Request Form for your records. There is no fee for lodging an Internal Review Request with Victims Services.

Time to consider an Internal Review?

Victims Services endeavours to consider all Internal Review Requests in the quickest time frame possible. The Legislation allows for all reviews to be completed within 42 days with notification to be provided in writing from the date of lodgement of the written Review Request.

Can I request more time to lodge further evidence.?

Applicants that need extra time to lodge further material (only when there is a lodged internal review request form) can do so at any time by asking (in writing) for an adjournment.

How do I request an adjournment?

Requests for adjournments need to be received in writing. You may email, fax or post requests and the reason why an adjournment in requested to.
